TAPER NEEDLES
- Used in easily penetrated tissues such as peritoneum, abdominal viscera, subcutaneous layers, etc.
- Minimizes tissue "cut-out". Smallest possible hole in tissue is created with minimal tissue cutting.
- Also ideal for closing hollow organs to prevent damage.
REVERSE CUTTING NEEDLES
- Used in tough, difficult to penetrate tissues such as skin, fascia, ligament, etc.
- Less tissue "cut-out" than standard cutting needles.
